What Must a DMCA Notice Include?
To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must contain all of the following:
- Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of Copyrighted Work: Description of the copyrighted work(s) you claim have been infringed (include links to official sources if possible).
- Identification of Infringing Material: The exact URL(s) or location on our site/app where the allegedly infringing material appears, with enough detail for us to locate it.
- Contact Information: Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy Statement: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
Important: Incomplete notices may not be processed. Knowingly submitting false or misleading information may result in legal liability under the DMCA
Our Response to Valid DMCA Notices!!
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Promptly review the claim (usually within 48-72 hours).
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
- Notify the user who posted the content (if applicable).
We act in accordance with DMCA safe harbour provisions to limit our liability.
Counter-Notification!!
If you believe your content was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a Counter-Notice to our DMCA Agent. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and its original location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court in your district and agreeing to accept service of process from the complaining party.
After receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content within 10-14 business days unless the original complainant files a lawsuit
Repeat Infringer Policy!!
We maintain a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also remove content at our discretion if it repeatedly violates our policies or intellectual property rules.

Replace placeholders (email, address, company name) with your actual details. If your site is hosted on platforms like Shopify, WordPress, etc., register your DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office for full safe harbour protection.
